Wayanad: Paradise on Earth

Last week I had a chance to feel the experience of heaven.
Thanks to my recent trip to Wayanad in God's own country -Kerela which made me feel there is lot more things which has be experienced in this world.

It is no exaggeration to say it as a heaven's place. Salubrious climate, scenic beauty and wonderful people make you feel refreshed and energized in this mechanical world full of chaos. There is no pollution, vehicle traffic there and you are far away from 'wonderful' mankind.

During this trip, we trekked halfway to the highest point in Wynad, Chembra Peak.
This peak is surronded by Tea plantations and you need to travel in a narrow road amidst of this thick greenery.

Another place that shouldn't be missed out is Soochipara water falls. This water falls is at the nature's purest forms without any human intervention. There is no people around in this place unlike other waterfalls like Kutralum in Tamil Nadu which is crowded throughout the year.
We had a difficult time reaching this waterfalls as we took the wrong path and has some risky jumps across rocks. I would say this was the most adventurous moment in my life.

Next day we became Wild life lovers and visited the Muthunga wildlife sanctuary. It is around 30 Kms from Wayanad and is a wonderful place for nature lovers. The jeep safari inside the deep forest is really thrilling as animals can come at any time during your safari. Forest guide told that there are Elephant, Bear and Wild Bull but we didn' see any of those animals . Only the Deers roamed around our jeep and gave us a nice pose. In this forest you can see the state borders of Kerela, Tamilnadu and Karnataka in the same place.

Other places worth seeing around Wynad are Pookot lake(Very peaceful lake surrounded by lilly flowers) , Kuruva islands ( Group of 24 islands surrounded by shallow rivers ), Karapuzha dam (Scenic Earth dam ), Banasura dam ( Speed boating is avaialble here) and Edakkal Caves.
Take a break from your work and enjoy your holidays in Wayanad. I would rate this place as 4/5 for its breaktaking beauty and zero pollution.
